Announcing a paid subscription tier
Dear Reader,
It’s been about a year since I launched Popular Fintech (I published my first letter in December 2021, but started writing actively only at the end of January 2022). In these twelve months, I published over 90 letters covering quarterly earnings (“Earnings Reviews”), profiling promising Fintech companies (“Fintech Profiles”), and summarizing key events in the industry (“Fintech Headlines”). I wrote about PayPal, Block, Toast, Stone, Shift4, Shopify, Nubank, SoFi, Affirm, LendingClub, Marqeta, Coinbase, Robinhood, and several other Fintech companies. I learned a lot myself, and I hope you learned something from my writing too.
Today I am introducing a paid tier of Popular Fintech subscription. Going paid will allow me to continue evolving and improving this newsletter, delivering even more value to you. Going further, there will be two ways to subscribe to Popular Fintech:
Free Subscription
As a free subscriber, you will continue receiving “Fintech Headlines”, a weekly newsletter covering major news and events impacting the Fintech industry, as well as “Fintech Profiles”, occasional in-depth profiles of promising publicly traded Fintech companies. You can read examples below 👇🏻
✔️ Fintech Headlines: January 23 - 29, 2023
✔️ Fintech Headlines: January 16 - 22, 2023
✔️ Stone Profile (NASDAQ: STNE): Warren Buffett's bet on Brazil's small businesses
✔️ Shopify Profile (NYSE: SHOP): making commerce better for everyone
✔️ Bill.com Profile (NYSE: BILL): automating payments for SMBs
Paid Subscription
As a paid subscriber ($25 / month or $250 / year), you will receive 10 - 12 “Earnings Reviews” per quarter (pretty much one every week). I plan to cover the following companies: PayPal, Block, Shopify, Toast, Stone, Marqeta, Nubank, SOFI, LendingClub, Affirm, Robinhood, and Coinbase. You can read sample reviews below 👇🏻
✔️ Nubank Q3 2022 Earnings Review: when tailwinds are gone
✔️ SoFi Q3 2022 Earnings Review: the last lender standing
✔️ Affirm Fiscal Q1 2023 Earnings Review: can a BNPL business be profitable?
✔️ Stone Q3 2022 Earnings Review: returning to profitability, one quarter at a time
✔️ PayPal Q3 2022 Earnings Review: forget growth, it's a margin story now
Despite challenging times in the financial markets, Fintech companies, both private and public, continue innovating, scaling, and challenging established players, and this is an exciting journey to follow! Hope you will continue following this journey with me!
Sincerely,
Jevgenijs
